Earlier this morning a verse came to me and I wanted to share. But, we had such a great and glorious morning (the munchkins and I) that I never had time to share. On my lunch though I did get the verse out with the promise of more.
Here is the link to my original post:

Here is the verse again:
Proverbs 22:6King James Version (KJV)
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
I have two children and therefore on my mind is how we are raising them. Are my husband and I too strict, too lenient, is what we think is important truly important in the scheme of things? All these questions plus a million more run through my mind continuously. As I believe they do for any parent.
But then you throw in our faith and the questions go deeper. Am I sharing my faith in front of my children? Do they see Christ's love when they see me? When will they be saved? Will they be saved? Will the rapture occur in their lifetime or after?
To some degree, I believe my husband and I are doing right by our children. We sing songs that praise the Lord continuously. My daughter sometimes refuses to go to bed without calling everyone she can think of and having them sing to her "Jesus Loves Me." One of her Sunday School teacher's taught her a praise song that they do every week with praise sticks (scarves on a popsicle stick). Well, she does it at home now with the American flag we got from church (Faith and Patriotism right there!). My daughter loves going to church (Jesus gives you goldfish), and gets upset if we do not go (like yesterday since we were on vacation). And it is not uncommon for us to have to say a prayer blessing over our meal several times because she thinks we need to do so.
When we decided to try getting pregnant I was a bit overwhelmed for a while. We were deciding to bring someone into this world who will have free-will. We get to chose God or not. And as the parent's we have to do what all we can to ensure that our children are exposed to God, His word and all His miracles so that they can make an informed decision.
Some day's I wonder if I am doing enough. But then there are days when my daughter wakes up with a smile, gives me a hug, wants to say a prayer before eat, hugs her brother, and asks if we are going to church. This Bible verse is encouraging to me. We are guiding and directing her and our son (he doesn't understand yet, but we are planting seeds in him). This verse isn't a guarantee that my children will ever go away from the Lord, but it is a promise that when they are older they will return.
