Loving life

As I sit on my couch tonight, I rest in comfort knowing my children are soundly sleeping. Stone in his crib (with a newly lowered mattress) and Abigail in her big girl bed (or possibly her circus tent). My precious babies who I loved the minute I found out I was pregnant with them. Finding out about Stone did send me into a panic - how could we afford a second child when the personal training industry was taking a hit. I was in a panic of the here and now when that test went positive. But I never once thought that we could make life easier if we "got rid of it."

I do know people who have had abortions. My heart breaks for them. I cannot imagine being in a position to feel that the only answer is taking the life of another. Some argue that life does not begin until birth. I hold true to what the Bible says,

Jeremiah 1:5New King James Version (NKJV)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

God tells us that He knows us before we are even in the womb of our mothers. Before I was pregnant with Abigail or Stone, God knew them.

Today I saw an article that disgusted me. A woman was eating a salad and drinking wine while discussing how much money could be garnered by selling body parts from murdered baby's. I am not even going to talk about the legality of the issue. Morally though there is plenty to be said.

Life is precious. In 1973 the Supreme Court of the United States of America decided in Roe v. Wade that abortion was legal. With their decision, the signed the death certificate on an estimated 50 million babies. Who have they killed? Did they kill the little girl who was going to cure cancer? Did they murder the little boy who was going to be the next great humanitarian? Did they abort twins who were going dedicate their lives to ensuring little girls in the Middle East can get an education? Did they kill the individual who was going to stand up for what is right?

What does it say about as us a society that a woman can talk about selling body parts of a murdered baby as cooly as talking about what pair of shoes to buy to go with her new dress? We are talking about a precious human being who lost their life. I am not mad at the mother's, the young women who feel they have no other choice. I am mad at the people who are profiting from this tragedy. Who are selling part of another human being without a care. These babies deserve a funeral's, not to be sold to some lab for who knows what reason.

Presidential hopeful Governor Bobby Jindal has already spoken out against Planned Parenthood and this horrible moral decay that is living among us. The rest of America needs to speak up. Our tax dollars go to feed this government sanctioned infant murdering facility. They can claim that they are about condoms and mammograms, but the proof is coming out. The founder hated the poor and the sick (just to name a few of who she hated) and wanted to clear the world of them. That principle is still being lived out today.

Remember, 50 million babies.

**UPDATE - Governor Greg Abbott of Texas is calling for an investigation into Planned Parenthood due to the video that was released today.
